THE POWER OF WORDS “

For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.”
Mark 11:23
Main Text: Proverbs 6:2

Words make or mar. Our lives are influenced by words; the atmosphere in your home depends on the words that are spoken in it. Your relationships are built on words. Our lives are so dependent on words that, not only do they affect our attitudes; they also affect our health and living conditions. Whether or not you’re living in faith or in fear is a function of what you hear, for faith comes by hearing (God’s Word: positive information); while fears comes through negative information.

Words have power. Their meaning crystallizes perceptions that shape our beliefs, drive our behavior, and ultimately, create our world. Their power arises from our emotional responses when we read, speak, or hear them. Just say the word “fire” while barbequing, or in the workplace, or in a crowded theater, and you’ll get three completely different but powerful emotional and energetic reactions.

There’s a spiritual language for the Christian. That’s why, as a child of God, you ought to put the Word on your lips, because the supernatural life is based on your tongue. Your tongue rules your life. In Matthew 12:36-37, Jesus said, “But I say unto you, that every idle that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the Day of Judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.”

Confession:

My life is excellent and full of glory; I walk in the dominion of the Spirit. My journey in life is upward and forward only. I’m on the path of success, victory and everlasting prosperity; I’m walking in, and fulfilling God’s destiny for me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
