WALKING IN HIS NEWNESS
“Therefore, we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”
Rom 6:4
Main Text: Main text: Colossians 3:12-25
We have been buried into death in order that we may walk in the fullness of life! You were baptized in Christ, meaning that you’re lost in Him, immersed in Him and you’ve become inseparably one with Him that you can’t be distinguished from Him. 1 Cor 6:17 “But the person who is united to the Lord becomes one spirit with Him.”
There’s newness of life in Christ, there’s a new consciousness with the understanding that as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, more so, you also should walk in the fullness of life! You’ve come out of spiritual death, you have a new life now, the old nature is dead, your past doesn’t exist, you’re a new creation in Christ Jesus! A superior creature (2 Cor 5:17). So, you were a sinner because of that old sin root nature lived in you. But now that you're born again, that nature is gone. You now have a new nature. You now have the new creation living on the inside of you.
In the New Testament church there is no such thing as Jew or Gentile, bond or free, for God has created something absolutely new. It's the "one new man," the new creation in Christ Jesus, the church, Christ's body, the fullness of Him, that filleth all in all (Eph. 1:23). Remember who you are "in Him” and begin to walk in the newness of life!
Confession:
I am who God says I am! I am a winner, not a loser! I know who I am. I’m a new creature; I’ve come out of death and I am perfected in Christ Jesus! Christ is alive in me! Hallelujah!
