Why did God create man differently than He created other beings? Because the core substance of man is not simply dirt or water, but spirit. Understanding this requires realizing that man is a three-part being—spirit, soul and body (1 Thessalonians 5:23; Hebrews 4:12). The spirit is a person’s innermost being, the part that gives him life. The soul is his decision-making, thinking and emotional faculty. The body is the physical house in which he lives. what we see in Genesis 1:26-27 is how God created the very core, or the spirit, of man. He did it by speaking forth from His Spirit. The spirit of man was created with “God stuff.” We are a byproduct of His essence.
Amongst everything God created, you’re the most beautiful, for you’re created in the image and likeness of God. God created you to look like Him and function like Him. You’re His excellent handiwork, His perfectly-crafted masterpiece! He created you for glory and for beauty. No wonder the Psalmist said “I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well” (Psalm 139:14).
You are the crowning beauty of God’s creation—the consummation of His work, and the cream of His creation. You’re the most beautiful thing that the world ever saw. You’re the perfection and epitome of beauty! You’re the reflection and manifestation of His glory. The Bible says you’ve been called to glory and virtue (2 Peter 1:3), and not to poverty, sickness, disease or infirmity. You’re too beautiful to be sick. You’re too beautiful for the down-life! Your life is for the glory of God, you were created for glory and for beauty!
Confession:
I am in the image and likeness of God! I have the divine life in me, I walk in light! I am not ugly! I am not empty! I am beautifully and wonderfully made! Glory to God I am blessed! Hallelujah!
