YOU HAVE BEEN MADE RICH

“For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.”
2 Cor 8:9 (KJV)
Main Text: Main text: 3 John 2

As a believer, you are not the poor trying to get rich, you are the rich discovering your riches in Christ Jesus. There’re Christians who don’t believe in prosperity, but what we read in the scripture above reveals that its’ God’s will for you to prosper. 3 John 2 “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”

Not only does God want you strong and healthy, He want you financially strong. it’s your God-ordained right, for you are Abraham’s seed. The Bible says Abraham was blessed in all things (Genesis 24:1); he was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold (Genesis 13:2). In today’s language it will be right to say he had a lot of money. As the seed of Abraham, you also have been blessed and enriched in all things unto all bountifulness.

Peter asked Jesus an interesting question about the principle of seed sowing and Jesus response spoke about abundance to the overflow. Luke 18:28-30 “And Peter said, See, we have left our own [things — home, family, and business] and have followed You. And He said to them, I say to you truly, there is no one who has left house or wife or brothers or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God. Who will not receive in return many times more in this world and, in the coming age, eternal life.” Take note of the phrase – in this world. Friends following God isn’t a waste, it’s a plus.

You’re an heir of God, and a joint heir with Christ; therefore, learn to talk big. When you talk big and things start looking up for you in life, some people, especially the religious folks around you will grumble at you and raise eyebrows. Don’t be moved by that. Just keep talking your way to abundance, and keep enjoying your prosperity in God. One thing religious folks can’t stand is our prosperity. It unsettles them and makes them restless: But thank God the Bible says “Good men everywhere will see it and be glad, while evil men are stricken silent” (Psalm 107:42 TLB).

Confession:

I enjoy the overflow, I enjoy abundance, my store is full, I shall not lack, I am blessed beyond measure, I lend to nations in the name of Jesus. Amen
