THE VIRUS CALLED DOUBT

“Peter knocked at the outer entrance, and a servant named Rhoda came to answer the door. When she recognized Peter’s voice, she was so overjoyed she ran back without opening it and exclaimed, “Peter is at the door!” “You’re out of your mind,” they told her. When she kept insisting that it was so, they said, “It must be his angel.” But Peter kept on knocking, and when they opened the door and saw him, they were astonished.”
Acts 12:13-16
Main Text: Main text: Mark 11:22

When devil knows your faith cannot be compromised, he finds the means to corrupt our minds. The virus called doubt is its super tool. As powerful as faith is so also is doubt as tool to frustrate our faith. Why were the Galatians so referred to as foolish? Their faith life was compromised.

Some believers still behave like the Christians in the book of Acts who were praying and trusting God for the release of Peter or a matter, and once the manifestation sets in, they tend to doubt if that could truly be God answering. Most times, we try to fit God’s answers to our request by our timing so when it seems like He answers speedily, we allow doubt set in forgetting that scriptures say His ways are past finding out. Job 9:10 “Which doeth great things past finding out; yea, and wonders without number.”

Isn’t it amazing that they thought the knock on the door was Peters angel! One minute, they are possession his freedom, the next minute they are denouncing his appearance, you might wonder in amazement but if we check within our hearts, this is how many believers behave! We tend to trust God for a matter, we pray, confess, believe, then when we have a glimpse of manifestation, we condemn with the words of our mouth!

Doubt is a killer of destiny! Thomas couldn’t believe that Jesus was alive after his death! He wanted to see him first – because he erroneously thought seeing is believing, he forgot that in the kingdom, it’s the other way around, believing is seeing! We must get to a point whereby we know in our mind that God answers prayers speedily and when manifestations begin, we mustn’t doubt in our heart!

Prayer:

Father in the name of Jesus, I rebuke the spirit of doubt from my life in Jesus name, Amen!
