ANOINTED WITH FRESH OIL
“The anointing you received from Him remains in you, and you don’t need anyone to teach you. Instead, His anointing teaches you about all things and is true and is not a lie; just as He has taught you, remain in Him.”
1 John 2:27
Main Text: 1 Samuel 16; 13
God will anoint you with fresh oil when you spend time alone with Him. That’s what happens with the eagle as oil covers his wings, enabling him to repel the water. Many people are soaked and absorbed, burdened and weighted down with the cares and worries of this life. When you have the Holy Spirit active in your life, you will mount up with wings as an eagle and soar above the cares of this life.
The eagle has tremendous strength. With his talons, he reaches down and rip huge fish right out of the water. Like the eagle God intends for you to be strong (Ps 144:1). Your battle isn’t natural you aren’t fighting people, your battle is against wicked principalities and powers in the heavens.
You are to be strong in your spiritual life so you can cause other people to be delivered through your prayers. Romans 15:1 “We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.”
Prayer
Father Lord, thank You for how far you brought me this past year I ask for fresh enduement from above this year in Jesus name. Amen.
