THE IMMINENCE OF ETERNITY
“He has made everything appropriate in its time. He has also set eternity in their heart, without the possibility that mankind will find out the work which God has done from the beginning even to the end.”
Ecclessiates 3:11 (NASB)

God has placed eternity in the heart of every man (Ecclesiastes 3:11), creating an inherent awareness and longing for something beyond this temporal world. Deep within, every human soul wonders about life after death, and the Bible provides the only true revelation of this eternal reality. Hebrews 9:27 declares, “It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” This truth underscores the urgency of the gospel message.
In their search for answers, many have turned to false gods, ideologies, and pursuits, attempting to fill a void that only the Lord Jesus Christ can satisfy. Despite their efforts, the longing remains, because only the life-giving truth of the gospel can meet this eternal need.
Jesus, in His final command to His disciples, said, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:19-20). This is not merely a suggestion but a mandate for every believer to share the good news.
God's will is clear: “[He] desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth” (1 Timothy 2:4). The task is urgent because Jesus is coming again. Every person we encounter is waiting—whether knowingly or unknowingly—to hear the gospel. The message of salvation through Christ offers the only true solution to the void in their hearts and prepares them for the eternity that lies ahead.
Let us rise to the call. Share Jesus boldly, with love and compassion, pointing people to the One who can satisfy their deepest longings. We are His ambassadors, entrusted with the most important mission: to save souls and bring them to the knowledge of the truth. Time is short, and the harvest is ripe. Let us work while it is day, for night is coming when no man can work (John 9:4).
