THE GRACE BESTOWED NOT IN VAIN

But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me
I Corinthians 15:10
Main Text: 1 Corinthians 15:1-10

The GRACE through the Word of God is the only anchor to KEEP US GOING in life. I know the above statement by Apostle Paul was considered as a potent drive/weapon in his ministerial feat. Paul was so mightily used by God and for God’s purpose on earth. Why did Paul achieve so much in his spiritual journey? He discovered grace. He had absolute dependence on the grace of God by His Word. All that he did and became as an apostle of Jesus Christ was consequent upon his acknowledgement of the place of grace, not of his human skill or natural tendencies. He knew that his natural abilities were foolishness without a direct recourse to the grace of God.

Why did I say that? Paul said, “But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ” (Philippians 3:7-8).

God doesn’t look at our academic feat, as good as that may be, it’s irrelevant to God. Your fat bank accounts mean nothing to God. He doesn’t look at what you’ve achieved or not in the world. In fact, to be able to follow Him and walk with Him effectively, you must humbly submit your BIG self and be ready to walk in love by faith.

His grace is all you need. 2 Corinthians 12:9: _“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” The strength of God is revealed in your weakness.

God prefers to make very good use of you when there’s nothing of you to humanly boast of. His glory no one can share! Submit your wealth, take hold of His grace that is made available to you, it shall be evident what the grace will reveal in your life before the end of this year 2023.

PRAYER
God Almighty, I’m forever grateful for the great love with which you love me and for your abundant grace in my life. I take hold of your grace, knowing full well that it’s sufficient for me in all things. By your grace, I reign and rule triumphantly in this month of April and beyond, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
