BE FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT!

And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;”
Ephesians 5:18-19
Main Text: Ephesians 5:10-19

Having received the Holy Spirit after you’re born again, there’s a day-today infilling of the Spirit that you must experience in order to live the higher life of glory to which you’ve been called. You may want to ask; I already received the Holy Spirit, why again do I need to be filled with the Spirit?.

That you’ve received the Holy Spirit doesn’t mean you’ll always be full of Him. The expression “be filled with the Spirit” doesn’t refer to the baptism of the Holy Spirit which you received at the new birth. Rather, it refers to being loaded, fully imbued or abundantly fortified, satisfied and complete with the power of the Spirit—everyday!

You’ll have to speak to yourself in psalms, hymns and spiritual songs! And consciously talk, sing, and make melody of the Word, in your heart, to the Lord! You’ll have to give thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Making this a conscious and consistent practice is how to get full of the Spirit all the time.

When you let the Holy Spirit work through you and you’re overflowing with His fullness, you won’t need to try apply YOUR HUMAN SENSES any longer. No! Whenever you open your mouth to speak, you’ll speak the wisdom of God; words that are divinely inspired, because you’re full of the Spirit

Confession:

I’m born of God, and Christ lives in me by the Holy Spirit. The life of God and His righteousness have been imparted to my spirit; I have God’s Spirit and His life flows through my being. Amen.
