FRIENDSHIP EVANGELISM

Good friends are loyal and accept you for who you are during the good and bad times. Good friends are honest – honest enough to tell you when you’re not being a good friend yourself. Friendship evangelism as the name connotes, is the method of sharing the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ with those around us. Our lifestyle should be glorious enough to convict those around us to accept the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The first method is becoming friends with unbelievers in order to gain enough credibility so they will listen to the gospel. I am not saying believers should portray their way of life but should be kind enough to love them just as Christ would; remember (2 Cor 6:14-17). However, we should become all things to all men that we may win some (1 Cor. 9:22).

Jesus didn’t limit His gospel to friends and family, He preached to complete strangers the message of repentance from sin and salvation through Him. We must make it a point of reference to preach the gospel of Jesus to everyone around us. It’s simple as sharing what Jesus has done for you. Don’t be selfish!

Prayer

Father, we receive boldness to share the gospel with our friends and acquaintances regardless of the cost in Jesus name.
