RIGHTEOUSNESS
“He made Christ who knew no sin to [judicially] be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we would become the righteousness of God [that is, we would be made acceptable to Him and placed in a right relationship with Him by His gracious lovingkindness].”
2 Corinthians 5:21
Main Text: Main Text: 1 Corinthians 15:34
Most of us have been taught to believe that to be righteous means to do all the right things in the eyes of others. This is a widely-held way of thinking, but it’s the wrong approach to life. Righteousness is defined as being morally upstanding, virtuous, and ethical; many people think they can achieve this status on their own. Even with the best of intentions, we can never achieve these high standards through self-effort; we need God for this. perspective when we study what God says about this gift.
Righteousness gives you the ability to stand in the presence of God without condemnation, guilt, fear or sense of inferiority. It’s the ability to stand in fellowship with God and having the rightness of God in your spirit. There’s no other way to come into this extraordinary life of righteousness and oneness with the Lord except through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
This is why we can’t afford to be quiet about the Gospel. It’s the answer to man’s cry. Let’s not act as though there’s another way. There’s no other way for men to learn of the righteousness of God, receive the righteousness of God, or understand the righteousness of God, outside of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. So, don’t be quiet in your locality, city, town, or nation; make the message of salvation known.
Confession:
I am being a blessing to people today. I am winning souls today. I am encouraging people today. My leaf does not wither. My life is full of strength. God’s strength.
