WHAT IS PROSPERITY?

“An arrogant man stirs up strife, but he who trusts in the Lord will prosper.”
Proverbs 28:25
Main Text: Main text: 3 John 2

Prosperity is far more than wealth and affluence, to limit prosperity to just wealth and financial affluence would be a great miscarriage of justice, prosperity is in three phases, to prosper in your spirit, which is to be born again, to prosper in your soul, which is to have a sound mind and to prosper in your body which is to have good health, strength, and vitality! God wants you to walk in prosperity! If He didn’t desire man to enjoy prosperity, He never would have put him in the garden of Eden.

Traditionally, the Church has been led to believe that prosperity is bad, most believers even have a get by mentality, you hear them say I just want enough for me and my immediate family, forgetting that God has called them to give to nations. 3 John 2 says, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” You should never think of prosperity the way the world does, from an avaricious viewpoint.

You must train yourself to think in line with God’s Word. The world’s definition of prosperity is very limited in its scope—it’s all about financial ability and power. You can have all the money in the world and still be spiritually, mentally, and physically poverty-stricken. To prosper is to excel and go to the highest place in anything desired. Prosperity is not an accident. It’s not a function of circumstances or the economy.

According to God’s Word, prosperity is a choice. It is a personal decision and a spiritual process. Believe what God says about prosperity. God has always promised, “If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land” (Isaiah 1:19).

You must be willing to believe the promises and obey the applications of those promises to walk in the lane of the blessing.

Confession:

I declare that the devourer is rebuked over my family and business. The windows of heaven are open over my life, my family and my business because we are under the covenant. My barns (bank accounts) are filled with plenty and my vats (investments, assets etc) overflow. Because the Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. I abound in all good things and all things work together for my good today in Jesus name.
