THE FORCE OF FELLOWSHIP

"I call on you, my God, for you will answer me; turn your ear to me and hear my prayer."
Psalms 17:6
Main Text: Main text: Colossians 4:2

There is a tool God has given to the believer, it’s a secret weapon the enemy cannot seem to identify and this weapon is FELLOWSHIP. God created man as a being primarily meant for fellowship. The word fellowship is derived from the Greek Word "Koinonia". Koinonia is a Greek word that occurs 20 times in the Bible. Koinonia’s primary meaning is “fellowship, sharing in common, communion.” The first occurrence of koinonia is Acts 2:42, “They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” Christian fellowship is a key aspect of the Christian life.

As a New Creation, we have been given the advantage, however, we must come to a point where we constantly want to fellowship with the Lord. This fellowship involves praying, studying the word, listening to the word and participating in the activities of the kingdom. Adam lost this privilege but the second Adam- Jesus Christ, restored you back to fellowship with God.

It is important to know that fellowship with God comes exclusively through Jesus Christ. Jesus is the only way to the Father (John 14:6). God’s Word, the Bible, is all that we need for fellowship with Him. We glorify Him by submitting to His will and obeying the commands contained in His Word. “But from everlasting to everlasting the LORD’s love is with those who fear him” (Psalm 103:17).

Prayer:

Lord, I desire to know you intimately, I ask oh Lord that you open me up to the mysteries of your glory!!!
