LIVE EACH DAY LIKE IT’S THE LAST
“Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.”
Ephesians 5:15-16
Main Text: Main text: Psalm 90:12
The popular saying, “live each day as the last for one day it shall be the last.” For the saints and the sinners, this earth is not our home. That means everybody will die one day. It could be a natural death or unnatural death. People can die at old age or at a young age. They can die due to old age, sickness, disaster, or unknown reasons. Somehow, something will happen to terminate our existence on earth. We are pilgrims here on earth; therefore, we must live with the mindset that we are just sojourning through this world.
In Romans 13:11 the apostle Paul warned Christians to wake up and stop living in denial about the fact that some of them were actually sleeping spiritually. He wrote, “And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now, our salvation is nearer than when we first believed”.
Let’s live every day as though it could be our last because one day it will be. That is why Scripture says, “So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom” (Psalm 90:12 NKJV). Especially at this time, keep perspective, and make each day count. Make each day significant. Live every day as though it could be your last, because one day it will be!
Confession:
Abba Father, I am eternity conscious and I vow to live an honorable life before you this day in Jesus name.
