SPEAK IN TONGUES!

The importance of praying in tongues can never be overemphasized. As a Christian, to significantly improve your spiritual growth and comprehension, praying in tongues is an extremely vital element. But sadly, there’re those who say, “Well, our church doesn’t believe in speaking in tongues.” Understand that speaking in tongues isn’t a denominational phenomenon. Every Christian ought to speak in tongues! That’s where the secret of power is. Praying in tongues will help you make progress, and cause you to rise like an edifice, higher and higher. The more you pray in tongues, the more sensitive you are to the Spirit, to receive and follow His guidance in all you do.

Speaking in tongues was reserved for the New Testament. It was designed to be a sign of the arrival of the Holy Spirit to begin his full ministry in the earth. All the power of the Holy Spirit was released in fullness. There was no holding back. No longer was the fire from heaven just falling upon the altar nor was it a cloud of glory just in the temple. But now God Himself, who is a fire from the loins up and a fire from the loins down (Ez. 1:27), came upon the 120 in that upper room and then filled them with Himself and they too were a fire head to toe, inside and out. This fire of God didn’t stay in an upper room but spilled into the streets and the operation of the Spirit among and through men began.

Singing and praying with our spirit implies using the gift of tongues. This can help release the mysteries of God and ignite our hearts with passion for Him. Praying in the spirit is powerful and enjoyable.

Prayer:
Dear Father, thank you for the indwelling presence of your Spirit in my life. He’s the one who gives me the ability to speak in tongues: that heavenly language given to us to commune directly with you. I take advantage of this unique ability today and always, in Jesus’ Name Amen
