STEWARDSHIP – THE KEY TO OWNERSHIP

“For an overseer, as God’s steward, must be above reproach. He must not be arrogant or quick-tempered or a drunkard or violent or greedy for gain.”
Titus 1:7
Main Text: Main Text: Genesis 2:15

One major truth that many people have overlooked is, God will not bless you with yours until you have been faithful in another mans business, which is why Jesus said, And if you have not been faithful in what is another man's, who will give you what is your own? Luke 16:12. The very key to ownership and success is in stewardship. We must cultivate the culture of serving before others can serve us. Our Lord Jesus Christ, served others before He could be served, if you want to own you’re a business, be faithful in that which you are presently doing.

Stewardship means that those who are entrusted with wealth of any kind have an obligation to hand those assets down in better shape than they inherited them. It means being responsible beyond the individual or company, and in the long-term beyond one’s lifetime. Looking at the parable of the talents, we see a picture of stewardship, he who was faithful in little was promoted, but he who buried his talent was cast into outer darkness (Matthew 25:14–30)”

Stewardship defines our practical obedience in the administration of everything under our control, everything entrusted to us. It is the consecration of one’s self and possessions to God’s service. Stewardship acknowledges in practice that we do not have the right of control over ourselves or our property—God has that control. It means as stewards of God we are managers of that which belongs to God, and we are under His constant authority as we administer His affairs. Faithful stewardship means that we fully acknowledge we are not our own but belong to Christ, the Lord, who gave Himself for us.

Prayer:

Father in the name of Jesus, I repent from every idle words and un-steward like acts in Jesus name, I am engraced to be a steward in Jesus name, amen!

Luke 12:42-46 “And the Lord said, “Who then is the faithful and wise manager, whom his master will set over his household, to give them their portion of food at the proper time? Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes. Truly, I say to you, he will set him over all his possessions. But if that servant says to himself, ‘My master is delayed in coming,’ and begins to beat the male and female servants, and to eat and drink and get drunk, the master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not know and will cut him in pieces and put him with the unfaithful."
