THE PROMISES OF GOD
“For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.”
2 Corinthians 1:20
Main Text: Main text: Isaiah 41:10
You many think to yourself, how are God’s promises to me Yes, what exactly does it mean? Don’t overburden your fickle mind, all you need to do is think of the faithfulness of God. By the faithfulness of God, He desires to bless His people, more so, when Jesus died, all the promises we need for life and godliness became yes in Christ. Ask yourself the following questions:
• Is God willing to heal you? Yes
• Is He willing to prosper you? Yes
• Will He comfort you in trials, sorrow, and tribulation? Yes
• Is He willing to forgive your sins? Yes
We can answer every of God’s promises to us with a resounding yes! And this speaks of His faithfulness, even when we don’t deserve it, God in His faithfulness is willing to bless us, this is the grace of God! In the Old Testament scriptures, we find words like word, speak, and say that are used instead. In other words, God's word itself is the same as a promise. This is why you must fellowship with His Word daily to grasp the fulness of His promises to you.
Amen has two distinct meaning, when God says Amen it means, it is complete or it shall be so, but when people use it, it means “this is true, I agree to this, or so let it be so”. When we say Amen, we express our agreement with a prophetic word, a promise, a prayer, in this case, we agree that God keeps His promises and there shall be a performance.
Confession:
I walk in the promises of God to me! I excel, I am fruitful, I am looked upon with favor and I walk in the covenant, in Jesus name.
