GOD IS EVER MORE THAN ENOUGH!
“Not that we are sufficiently qualified in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency and qualifications come from God.”
2 Corinthians 3:5
Main Text: Gen. 15:13–14
The great song by Elevation Worship has its lyrics thus “You are Jireh, You are enough, Jireh, You are enough, And I will be content in every circumstance, You are Jireh, You are enough, Forever enough, Always enough, More than enough, Forever enough, Always enough, More than enough.” Jehovah-Jireh” is one of the many different names of God found in the Old Testament. “Jehovah-Jireh” is the KJV’s translation of YHWH-Jireh and means “The LORD Will Provide” (Genesis 22:14). It is the name memorialized by Abraham when God provided the ram to be sacrificed in place of Isaac.
El Shaddai is one of seven covenant names through which God revealed Himself to Israel. In Hebrew, El Shaddai means “the All-Sufficient One,” or “the God Who is more than enough.” You're sufficient in God's sufficiency. This means that your abilities are unlimited; nothing is impossible unto you. Nothing can put you down or wear you out. Isaiah 40:31 says, "…they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." He renews your strength day by day; meaning that your strength is continuously exchanged for His strength. What a life we have in Him; a life of the supernatural and infinite possibilities.
His ability is at work in us. We're strengthened with the Strength of God. His divine energy is at work in you. You're therefore up to any task. The Greek word is "hikanotes," which means to have competence or ability, the quality of being adequately fortified and enabled physically, intellectually, mentally, and spiritually for any task!
Confession:
Dear Father, I thank you for being my strength and my glory; I'm stirred and ready for anything, and competent to excellently accomplish any task, through your Spirit that infuses inner strength into me! I'm sufficient in your sufficiency! Glory!
