THE FOURTH MAN IN THE FIRE
“Astonished, King Nebuchadnezzar stood up in terror, and asked his advisors, “Didn’t we throw three men into the fire, bound firmly with ropes? In reply they told the king, “Yes, your majesty.” Look!” he told them, “I see four men walking untied and unharmed in the middle of the fire, and the appearance of the fourth resembles a divine being”
Daniel 3:25 (ISV)
Main Text: Main text: Daniel 11:32
Not all challenges of life are from God, most times, the devil tries to get us to recant our faith in Christ Jesus and bow to Baal, however, it is important to note that regardless of the trials and tribulations God brings our way, we will come out insurmountable. Isaiah 43:2 “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.” God promises to be with us through the process of challenges and tribulations. Fear not, the fourth man in the fire is with you!
Under the oppression of the King Nebuchadnezzar the three young Hebrew boys refused to bow down to the graven image, every other person bowed down either out of fear, service to idols, ignorance, peer pressure, however these men knew that they belonged to Jesus. They had revelation knowledge to know they were the temple of the Lord and understood the principles of Holiness. The king threatened death, but they weren’t moved, they were solid in their faith in God, nothing could perturb them.
The young men boldly said to the King, “If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us[a] from Your Majesty’s hand. 18 But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.” Daniel 3:17-18. Don’t give into the pressure, be like these Hebrew boys! They knew their God and those who know their God, will do great exploits.
I want you to be encouraged, regardless of the fire you are in, Jesus is with you! He did not leave you as an orphan, he is with you every step of the way.
Confession:
God is with me and I am conscious of it! Regardless of the ordeal of life, I am emboldened by the fact that Jesus is with me. Hallelujah!
