LIVE A HOLY LIFE

“Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;”
1 Peter 1:13
Main Text: Leviticus 20:7-8

When you see the words; holy, holiness, saints, sanctify, and consecrate in scriptures they are usually translated from the Hebrew and Greek word groupings that convey the idea of division, separation, and being set apart. Infact, the Hebrew root of the term means to cut and to separate. God makes His holiness known so that we too may be made holy. Heb 2:17 “So now Jesus and the ones he makes holy have the same Father. That is why Jesus is not ashamed to call them his brothers and sisters.”

Holiness has a double dimension; the dimension of separation and the dimension of consecration. These dimensions require clear and powerful encounters with the Lord (Rev 4:8). From scriptures, we see that righteousness and holiness are two different things. Righteousness happened to you when you were born again, but holiness is another matter, it is a decision of your will — it is what you choose to do with your life. It’s your conduct — living according to God’s commandments.

Holiness is a fruit by the root. In other words, living a holy life is not the way to God, it’s a byproduct of being born again. You don’t live a holy life to get God to love you, he already loves you! You live a holy life because you are motivated by your relationship with

Prayer; In year 2022, I choose to live a holy and acceptable life unto God in Jesus name. Amen.
