WAIT ON THE LORD
“Wait for the Lord; be strong and courageous. Wait for the Lord.”
Psalm 27:14
Main Text: 2 Peter 3:9
To wait on the Lord means to hope expectantly, trust in or look unto. To wait also means to serve or minister. When you are worshipping the Lord, praying, giving your offering, you are waiting on Him. As you minister to the Lord, your weakness is exchanged for His strength. You need your spirit man continually rejuvenated with the flowing life of Jesus Christ.
Your level of strength can be changed from what it is to a higher level if you will wait upon the Lord. God is in the business of restoring souls. When the Lord is your shepherd, He will lead you beside the still waters and restore your souls. He will lead you to the place where you are nourished and strengthen. He will recharge your batteries as you wait on Him.
Prayer
Lord, I ask you fulfill your promise in my life, empowering me to run and not grow weary in Jesus name.
