THE HOLY SPIRIT HAS A MIND

The word “mind” has the idea of thought and purpose. These are attributes of personality. Understanding who the Holy Spirit is, the place He holds within the Holy Trinity and the role He plays in individual lives is vital to anyone exploring what it means to become a Christian and anyone trying to follow Jesus. Knowing the Holy Spirit will radically change your life because He is the way you will experience the life of God within you.

The Holy Spirit as a Person has a mind, and He wants us to have a relationship with Him in other to ponder on the deep things of life/the spirit with Him. The Holy Spirit’s greatest desire is to have a great relationship with you! And building a relationship with the Lord will give you access into His attributes. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law” (Galatians 5:22-23)

We can know that the Holy Spirit is indeed a divine person because He possesses a mind, emotions, and a will. The Holy Spirit thinks and knows (1 Corinthians 2:10). The Holy Spirit can be grieved (Ephesians 4:30). The Spirit intercedes for us (Romans 8:26-27). He makes decisions according to His will (1 Corinthians 12:7-11). The Holy Spirit is God, the third Person of the Trinity. As God, the Holy Spirit can truly function as the Comforter and Counselor that Jesus promised He would be (John 14:16)

Dear Holy Spirit, help me build a deeper relationship with you! I am blessed! And I desire to know you more.
