PRAYER – A KEY TO OPEN HEAVENS
“When all the people were baptized, it came to pass that Jesus also was baptized; and while He prayed, the heaven was opened.”
Luke 3:21
Main Text: Main text: Luke 5:16
Jesus prayed until His heavens was opened! There’s a point you get to in prayers that the heavens have no choice but to break open! This is the heartfelt prayer of a righteous man that makes tremendous power available in His working. James 5:16 “The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man (believer) is able to accomplish much [when put into action and made effective by God—it is dynamic and can have tremendous power].” Prayer has the potency to render the heavens opened.
Effective prayer requires having faith in what God promises us in the Scriptures. One of those promises is that He’ll give us peace of mind when we trust Him enough to turn over all our worries to Him. “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6, 7). Whatever went wrong in our life, God is able and He wants to right the wrongs.
When we begin to experience the amazing power true prayer holds, we suddenly realize how it literally changes our entire life. If we simply believe, prayer turns defeat into victory and changes everything. This knowledge gives us access to God’s presence at any time and fills us with joy from heaven. “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, NKJV). Take God at His word!
Prayer:
Father in the name of Jesus, I decree I enjoy open heaves from this day forth, I claim favor, peace, prosperity and plenty in Jesus name. Amen.
