THE VOICE OF GOD
“Father, glorify your name!” Then there came a voice out of the sky, saying, “I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.”
John 12:28

The voice of God is powerful; the voice of God is full of majesty.” So says the Psalmist, There are many voices crying out loud today that are not the voice of God. Some are trying to draw people back to the devil, but that is not the voice you should hear as a child of God. Because you know Christ, you cannot miss His voice. I believe that God’s voice can still be heard by those who listen carefully; God’s mighty acts can still be seen by those who look attentively.
The above verse makes it clear that it was the voice that the Father spoke to His Son; however, there were different reports of the same event. Some people heard a voice and thought it was an angel who spoke. Others thought it was thunder. But as a spirit filled you cannot miss His voice at any time.
This illustrates 'the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned' (1 Cor. 2:14). A carnal man with a hardened heart will always find some natural explanation for the supernatural even if he heard an audible voice from God.
Jesus didn't need to hear this audible voice of God because he had a surer word of prophecy than the audible voice of God from heaven (2 Pet. 1:18-20). Jesus knew the 'voice' of the Old Testament scriptures that spoke of the Christ being glorified and He could also hear the Father's voice in His heart as He had on so many other occasions. Beloved, His Word is sure and it cannot fail. Keep your heart fed with the Word of God for that’s where you can only hear the voice of God.
Prayer
I am of the Spirit, therefore, I know the voice of the spirit in Jesus name! I am no longer deaf to His voice, in Jesus name, Amen!
