THE POWER OF THE BLOOD

“In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace.”
Ephesians 1:7
Main Text: Main Text: Hebrews 10:19

As Christians, we know about the blood, sing hymns about the blood, and remember it during Communion. But how many of us truly know how deep its power runs, and all that it has provided for us? Even more important—how many of us use it and apply it in our lives every day? From Genesis to Revelation, the words the blood are kept before our eyes—a reminder of its importance and significance to God and to us. The sacrifices of Abel, Noah and Isaac, and the Passover lamb, and the giving of the Law all came to pass, but “not without blood” (Hebrews 9:7, NKJV). The blood symbolizes cleansing and purification—the settling of a matter.

His Blood Speaks better thing! Not vengeance. “Hebrews 12:24 “And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.” “Sozo” is the Greek word for salvation, yet it’s root meaning goes beyond just the forgiveness of sins. According to Strong’s Concordance, Sozo also carries the idea of being physically healed of diseases and to be delivered from your enemy. Rev 5:12 “Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing.” His blood spoke:  Power – Luke 10:19, Riches – 2nd Cor 8:9, Wisdom – 1 Cor 2:16, Strength – Proverbs 4:22, Honor - 2 Chronicles 1:11, Glory – 2 Chronicles 1:11, Blessing – Genesis 12:3.

Before Adam fell in the Garden of Eden, he had enjoyed friendship and fellowship with God. After Adam’s Fall, sin separated us from this precious fellowship and could only be restored through the blood of Jesus. When you receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you declare that you want to receive His fellowship and friendship, and the door is opened for you to enjoy it! Because of the power of the blood of Jesus, you can come boldly into the presence of God. The blood of Jesus builds a mighty wall between sin and believers who have been made the righteousness of God through Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21).

Confession:

Jesus died for me; I have been restored back to the Father! I am blessed!
