THE GOD KIND OF FAITH

“Everything is possible for one who believes.”
Mark 9:23
Main Text: Main Text: Luke 1:37

In understanding the God kind of faith, two essential principles emerge. Firstly, belief originates in the heart. Secondly, it extends to one's spoken words. Mere conviction in the heart is insufficient; for divine intervention, one must couple heartfelt belief with vocal affirmation. Echoing the words of Jesus in Mark 11:23, the unchanging law of faith unfolds: 'Whosoever shall say... and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.' This encapsulates the unwavering rule of faith."

Hebrews 11:3 “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.” God is a speaking being, and He created man to be just like him. Man is a speaking spirit like God! At the heart of creation, a fundamental act of God was the consistent use of speech. The repetitive nature of divine expression is underscored by the phrase 'And God said.' This linguistic emphasis is not arbitrary; it is purposeful and intentional. The significance of verbal communication is further highlighted by the staggering frequency of the word 'SAID' in the Bible—occurring 4002 times across 3605 verses and used in Genesis 417 times. This pattern serves as a deliberate blueprint, imparting a profound lesson on the power and importance of words in shaping our world."

Jesus urged, Have faith in God, a call that, according to Greek scholars, resonates as 'Have the God kind of faith.' This unique faith, demonstrated by Jesus, goes beyond conventional belief—it mirrors the very essence of God. And we as New Testament believers have been encouraged to walk in the Spirit of faith because there in lies our dominion. God believed that what He said would come to pass. He spoke the word and there was an earth, walk in this command and see your life change dramatically.

Confession:

Jesus is the author and finisher of my faith, so I look to Him by believing and acting on His Word! I believe that my faith works because I believe God’s Word is true. I do as Jesus did, and I speak to the mountains of _________ (Put what you want) in my life. I command ___________ (Put what you want) to be removed from my (life, body, relationship, job) and cast it into the sea and away from me! I believe I receive it by faith. Amen.
