THE GOODNESS OF GOD

"Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!"
Psalms 107:1
Main Text: Main text: Psalms 34:8

God is good because he loves us and wants what’s best for us. His goodness is demonstrated through his actions toward us. In fact, we see evidence of God’s goodness every day. We see it in the sun rising each morning, in the rain falling from the sky, and in the flowers blooming in our gardens. We should thank God for every good gift we receive from Him, and ask Him for what we need. God is a gracious Father, giving good gifts to His children. These gifts include healing, protection, peace, joy, strength, wisdom, and many other blessings.

Acts 10:38 "How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him." The word good in this verse is loosely translated to philanthropic acts... Jesus was a philanthropist, he wasn't just healing the sick or rasing the dead, he was a philanthropist.  I prophesy to you this morning,  before the end of the first half of the year, you'll see the evident goodness of God!

God’s goodness represents everything that God is, everything that God has and

everything that God desires for us to experience. The word goodness in the Hebrew means

“good in the widest sense” One could say that God is good to the furthest extreme.

This God kind of goodness far surpasses anything that the world has to offer. Look at James 1:17 “Every good gift and every perfect (free, large, full) gift is

from above; it comes down from the Father of all [that gives] light….” God is a good God and in His goodness he has blessed you with all you need for life and godliness!

Confession:

I am blessed, I am a recipient of the goodness of God I enjoy His favor and mercy! God is good to me, He fills my mouth with good things!! alleluia!
