YOU HAVE REVELATION KNOWLEDGE OF HIM

“I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.”
Ephesians 1:17
Main Text: Main Text: Ephesians 1:18

The Greek word that’s translated knowledge in Scripture means more than just a mental understanding of something, more than the kind of knowledge that can be gained through your senses. It means exact knowledge. Knowledge revealed directly to your heart by the Spirit of God—that’s revelation knowledge. Therefore, Jesus wants you to grow in His Words, because the only way you can come to the light of His person is spending time with Him. It’s impossible to spend time with a person and not know the person.

Most Christians believe the Word of God with their minds, but they haven’t meditated on it enough for it to “light up” in their hearts. If they had, that Word would absolutely revolutionize their lives. Nothing would be able to shake them loose from it. It is highly imperative we believe God’s Word with every fiber of our being because therein lies the very victory we need to live a wholesome life upon the earth.

In Matthew 16, we see Simon Peter exhibit a facet of revelation knowledge, He knew who Jesus was and why He was on earth, but it’s important to note that Peter came to this light not because He was a top disciple, however, because he had a relationship with Christ, He was able to see beyond the natural.  You must meditate on the Word and search the Spirit of God for them because they are “hidden” in Him. The Bible says God has hidden His wisdom for the saints (1 Corinthians 2:7-9). Notice, He’s hidden it for you, not from you. He wants you to have it.

Confession:

I have revelation knowledge of Him, I grow in Him, I am a friend of God. I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Amen!
