THE IMPORTANCE OF THE BLOOD OF JESUS

“In whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.”
Colossians 1:14
Main Text: Main text: Acts 20:28

In Genesis four, we read that Adam and Eve had two sons, Cain, and Abel. They instinctively wanted to worship God. Cain sacrificed the fruit of the ground. Abel had already learned that God demanded blood, so he brought a lamb. God accepted the blood of Abel's lamb, but He did not accept Cain's offering. Why? Because "without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sin" (Hebrews 9:22).  The blood is very important and we must understand its importance in our lives.

The Lord Jesus Christ died upon the cross. His death was the fulfillment of all the prophecy and promises. Revelation 13:8 proclaims that He was slain before the foundation of the world. He came to die; He planned to die; He lived to die; and He was born to die. The blood of Jesus bore for us our redemption - The blood of Jesus Christ brought about justification for sin. This implies that a sinner who sincerely comes to Jesus is justified and regarded as a righteous person who never committed sin, more so, when a man comes to Christ He becomes the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.

The blood of Jesus broke the middle walls of partition between God and us. When the walls were broken at the atonement on the Cross of Calvary, man was given direct access to God through Christ, so that man does not need any human mediator to intercede on his behalf to access the blessing. The blood of Jesus Christ, is your free ticket to the many blessings God has in store for His children.

Confession:

The blood of Jesus has made me free, therefore, I am sanctified, I am redeemed, I am righteous, I am holy and I am blessed in Jesus name. Amen.
