GOD REWARDS OBEDIENCE/DILIGENCE
“And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments …â€
Deuteronomy 28:1
Main Text:
When you have a stubborn and very disobedient child, such that makes you sorrowful all the time, it’s a thorn you will desire to be removed. Your earthly parents will not only be happy with you if you are an obedient child, they will equally answer all your requests without delay. Every parent loves to see their children grow in sincere obedience to their instructions, right? It’s painful seeing disobedient children.
Imagine what you cause your earthly parents, the pain they go through for your wrong acts and lifestyle, it’s then logical to conclude that God will never be happy when your lifestyle is not different from the miscreants and thugs.
The issue of diligence lies with you. God has done His own part. If you fail in yours, you will have yourself to blame. He also makes grace available to walk with Him. You can be spiritually blessed to see His provisions and tap into them. If you are lazy in the things of God or your life is full of excuses, you will definitely be counted out.
What example of a believer do you show in your office and neighborhood? Can friends or family testify of your steadfastness and uprightness? Don’t be deceived, people are watching your obedience to God and your response to the things of God. If men would mark you good or bad, God can say better! Don’t allow excuses to stop you from being diligent. Get started with a genuine heart for humanity. Be committed in your service and sacrificial giving.
Do you want to stand out in your chosen field, ministry and career in this year of His Kingdom? I implore you to concentrate on being diligent. “Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.” Proverbs 22:29.
Prayer: Father, help me through Jesus Christ to stay committed to you in all ways.
