SPEAK GRACE TO YOUR DESTINY
Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confessionâ€
Hebrews 4:14
Main Text:
What are you confessing over your life today? What do you expect to see in this 2019? The Bible says that life and death are in the power of the tongue. If you go around speaking doom and gloom, confessing that “Murphy’s law” which says that anything that can go wrong will go wrong. But when you allow the Word of God to direct your confessions, when you speak life, blessing and promises over your life, it opens the door for God to move on your behalf and then make anything can go wrong go RIGHT. That’s why it’s so important to “hold fast” or maintain your confession of faith in Him. That means you can’t go around confessing blessings one minute and curses the next with the same mouth. That would be like trying to dig a hole by removing the dirt with one shovel full, and then filling it right back with a load of rubbish. You won’t get anywhere! In the same way, we have to hold fast our confession of faith in. The Bible tells us that righteousness exalts a nation. Righteousness simply means to be in right standing with God. It means you are honouring Him and following His ways. Righteousness exalts a nation, and righteousness exalts individuals that walk the talk of faith.
There are so many promises in the Word of God for those who are righteous and honour Him. Part of being righteous and following His commands is to pray for your leaders and people in authority. Pray that they would honour the Lord and seek His ways. Pray that they would govern in the fear of God and integrity. And Psalm 33 tells us that, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.” The Lord promises that when His people pray, He will hear them! As you submit all your ways to Him, He will cause you to rise in this 2019.
Prayer: I speak success into my life today in the name of Jesus
