OUR HELP IS OF THE LORD

“I will lift up my eyes to the hills- from whence comes my help?”
Psalm 121: 1
Main Text:

There is something that makes me come into your presence, my helper is a popular song. (O sing it please). Until we conclude that He is the source of our help, man will continue to be disappointed. Many are still hoping their brother in America or Europe is the one that will help them, well, God will open your eyes to realize that help comes from God.

David was a king, a prophet and a priest of God. He must have received several helps from different places. While he was asking that question “from whence comes my help,” several experiences must have crossed his mind. (Perhaps) when he was miraculously delivered twice from the spears of King Saul who wanted to kill him (David) out of jealousy, and how help came from somewhere when lions and bears attacked him again, how he had miraculously won every battle he fought, also how he killed Goliath (at barely 17yrs old), and so on and so forth. Then he asked, “Where comes my help? “The next verse clearly reveals his answer. Thus, “my help comes from the LORD….”  Psalm 121: 2.

Beloved, I want to submit to you that every help comes from the LORD- whether or not you are a believer. If God helps only the believers, who then keeps the baby in the mother’s womb alive and healthy? Or shall we say that an unborn child is a believer? Jesus said “His (God’s) eyes are on the sparrows (birds)”. If He watches over birds that don’t even have any religion, how much more you?

The core of today’s lessons is for you to know “who” to give thanks to whenever someone blesses you. Whosoever blesses you, bear in mind that it was God that worked behind the scene. That is why He can use anybody to bless you, lest you think your help comes from particular person only.

Prayer:  Thank You Father for all You have done for me for it is You that work in me to will and to do.
