THE TRUE LIGHT
“That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.”
John 1:9
Main Text: Main Text: John 1:1-5
Jesus Christ, our Lord, is the true light that illuminates every person; without Him, humanity remains in complete darkness. No matter one’s wealth or status, without Jesus, life is shrouded in darkness. God did not send Jesus to condemn the world but to save it, so it is crucial that each person accepts the Lord to walk in the radiance of His glorious light.
If you’ve ever been in a dangerous place in the dark, you understand the importance of light. Darkness brings chaos—sin, sickness, disease, poverty, and everything opposed to Christ. But where can this true light be found? It is not in a club or a brothel; it can only be found when you choose to have a personal relationship with the Lord.
Christ is the great light—the true light, the light of life. To call Jesus the "true light" is to recognize Him as the ultimate source of wisdom, purity, and spiritual clarity. Unlike natural light, which illuminates only the physical, the light Jesus brings reaches into the depths of the human spirit. In John 8:12, He declares, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.” This promise assures us that no matter what lies ahead, His light will guide us, illuminating our path and keeping us from stumbling.
Confession:
I declare, I am blessed to have Jesus as the light of my life. He illuminates my path, and as the righteous, my way shines brighter each day. The path of the righteous is blessed, and my journey grows in glory and favor forevermore. Amen.
