HAVE YOU EXPERIENCED TRUE LOVE?
“In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.â€
1 John 4:9
Main Text:
God is love and He’s the first and only Giver of true and genuine love. The Bible says He loved the world so much and gave His only begotten Son to die for humanity. You cannot but face disappointments if you live and operate in deceitful earthly love. The word love is so deep and greater than just exchange gifts. You can give without love but cannot love without giving. The love you are looking for is not in hanging out or keeping dates with a babe. Some did hang outs in the past but later hung themselves to death in the name of disappointments and the unfaithfulness of their ‘loving partners’. What you seek cannot be obtained by beauty, handsomeness or wealth. If you want to experience the true love, it will never be delivered unto you through human wisdom. You need divine wisdom to understand and embrace this provision of heaven because true love is a gift from God.
Impatience will blind your eyes. Lust, deceitfulness of riches and disobedience to God will never allow you to get the best from any relationship. One of the best tests of love is time. Why are you in a rush? Have you eaten the sour apple because of your impatience? A lady once told me that her heart had been shattered into 99 places in the name of chasing a guy over the years. She was so impatient and easily carried away. She wasted her time and substance until the relationship hit the rocks.
Beloved, don’t be easily carried away by what you see and the cares of this life. Let God direct your heart and seek the right counsel. Avoid deceits and sweet tongues that will only produce future sorrows and heartbreak. Don’t let anyone dislodge you from the experience of the love of God.
Prayer: Get me adequately empowered and rooted in your love O Lord.
