WHY THE MIGHTY CAN FALL

“Is there no Balm in Gilead, is there no Physician there? Why then is there no recovery for the health of the daughter of my people?”
Jeremiah 8: 22
Main Text:

What makes the lion the strongest and most dreadful animal in the world is centered on some factors which include its strength, ability to run fast, roaring nature, braveness and fearlessness. Single roar of a lion sets jitters into the spine of other animals in the jungle.

Proverbs 30: 30 says a lion never turns away from its preys. Isaiah 30: 4 says that a lion does not get bothered, no matter how many shepherds are guiding a sheep flock.

Jesus is the Lion of the tribe of Judah and we are joint-heirs of the Lion of the tribe of Judah. All these scriptures put together would mean that we are not to tremble before any demon (physical or spiritual), no matter how terrifying they are.

The Bible says God’s wish is that we prosper and be in good health just as our soul prospers. Beloved, the devil has so much struck the health of the world, today that is why there is the sudden emergence of several natural herbalists, providing cure as alternative healing. One thing the devil is oppressing and stealing now is people’s health. You hear of many strange diseases afflicting people. Amidst all these, there is a provision for us – Ps. 91: 7 says “a thousand may fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand side, but one thing is sure – it shall not come near you”.

But do God’s children get afflicted too? The answer is, “yes.” Why then? God provides an answer to that question before the text above – “when sin reigns, people of God fall sick and may not recover.”  Beloved, sin is the only factor that can pull down a giant, it can make the mighty fall like a park of cards.

Get healing from the word of God. Let His word dwell in you.

Prayer:  I will not fall to sin in Jesus name
