TITHE WITH JOY

“And he blessed him, and said, blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth: And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.”
Genesis 14:19-20 (KJV)
Main Text:

Most Christians aren’t very excited about tithing; however, they should be. If we understood its importance and how to do it properly, we will give our tithes with joy not grudgingly. Scriptural tithing stirs up faith. It activates the power of God in our lives when we do it in gratitude and joy, expecting our needs to be met abundantly.

In Deut 26:8-9, God told the Israelites exactly what to say when thy brought their tithes. He instructed them to acknowledge the fact He had brought them out of the bondage of Egypt with His mighty hand and outstretched arm into a land flowing with milk and honey…” When you bring your tithe to the Lord, follow the example of the Israelites, make it a time of rejoicing before the Lord. Make it a time of realizing anew the wonderful things Jesus Christ has done for you.

Tithe in faith expecting the rich blessings of the land to be multiplied to you and watch God expand your horizon.

Prayer: Father in the name of Jesus, I commit to be a giver to the work of the Lord.

Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.”

Lev 27:30 (BBE) “And every tenth part of the land, of the seed planted, or of the fruit of trees, is holy to the Lord.”
