YOU ARE A JOINT HEIR

“Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.”
Galatians 4:7 (KJV)

An heir is a person who shares with another, or others, the right to inherit a person's money, property, or title when that person dies. Jesus died and rose again, when He died, we automatically inherited the right to be called an heir with Jesus. We received the rights to be called sons, and also possess ownership of the blessings of God on the earth. John 1:12 “But as many as received him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.”

The Greek word ‘heirs’, klÄ“ronomeō, means a receiver of an inheritance, a beneficiary. If we are children, we are receivers of God’s inheritance. The inheritance we possess in Christ does not have any basis in works. It is not what we have done. Our inheritance does not have a basis in personal morality nor in any other station enjoyed by human beings. The inheritance comes to us strictly by saying ‘Yes’ to Jesus Christ. Being heirs of God is one part of our inheritance but being a joint-heirs with Christ is yet another. The Greek word for joint-heirs is same word as heirs above but with ‘syn’ in front ‘klÄ“ronomeō’ which adds to the meaning ‘joint’ or ‘co-receivers’ of an inheritance, a joint or co-beneficiary

If you are ‘of God’, you are an overcomer. Overcomer means you. The word overcome means to win in the face of obstacles. It means to overcome or vanquish someone. You have overcome devils, demons and evil spirits. You are of God. The over-comer is the one who inherits all things. He is the one who enjoys all the benefits and privileges which Jesus made available.

Confession: I am an overcomer, I have overcome this world, I am a joint heir with Jesus, I enjoy the blessing of the Lord that adds no sorrow with it, I silver and gold belongs to me, I am blessed! In Jesus name. Amen.
