THE POWER OF PRAYING IN TONGUES 2

"For he who speaks in an unknown tongue does not speak to men, but to God. For no one understands him, although in the spirit, he speaks mysteries."
1 Corinthians 14:2 (MEV)
Main Text:

Just as dumbbells build up your arms, praying in tongues builds up your spirit. If you keep to praying in other tongues faithfully, it will bring you to the point your spirit will subdue the flesh.

1 Corinthians 14:4 "Anyone who speaks in a tongue edifies themselves, but the one who prophesies edifies the church." (NIV)

You might ask, why don't I just pray in my understanding? Because the Bible says your weakness will get in the way. Our flesh is limited and praying most times in English is limited, many times, your natural mind doesn't have the first idea of how to pray as it needs to which is why the Holy Spirit helps our limitations when we pray with groaning that cannot be uttered. Romans 8:26-27 "And likewise also, the Spirit helps us in our weakness, for we do not know how to pray as one ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with unexpressed groaning. And the one who searches our hearts knows what the mindset of the Spirit is, because he intercedes on behalf of the saints according to the will of God." (LEB)

Praying in the Spirit enables you pray the perfect will of God for your life. It allows you step out of the realm of the flesh into the realm of the spirit that no matter how ignorant or weak you may be in the natural, you God pray the perfect will of God into fruition.

Confession; I am strengthened in the inner man. I take authority over the flesh in Jesus name. I am a Spirit being and will develop my Spirit daily.

Prayer; May my tongue never cease in the name of Jesus
