DON’T LIVE ABOVE YOUR MEANS!

“There is desirable treasure, and oil in the dwelling of the wise, but a foolish man squanders it.”
Prov 21:20 (NKJV)
Main Text:

Prosperity does not mean being uneconomical. In prosperity, we must still seek to get the most out of our spending. Prosperity on the other hand, doesn’t mean we should waste. Jesus never wasted resources and neither should we. Matt 14:20 “So they all ate and were filled, and they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments that remained.”

Being financially responsible is important for your health and most importantly, for God to trust you with more riches. Most of us are highly irresponsible with our finances, and this should not be. Prov. 21:20 describes people who live above their means as foolish.

God wants us to have nice things, however, not at the detriment of us living above our means. It is by living within our means that we can have desirable treasure and oil in our dwelling place.

Confession: I am the body of Christ and Satan has no power over me. The Greater One lives in me. I am far from oppression. I choose to live within my means and receive the wisdom of God pertaining to my finances. I am blessed.
