TRUSTING GOD IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCE

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Do not depend on your own understanding.”
Proverbs 3:5 (NIV)
Main Text:

If you’ve ever wondered if you could trust someone with a secret or something so valuable, you probably remember the nervous feeling of hope mixed with uncertainty as you open yourself to that person. Unfortunately, people are capable of making mistakes and letting us down. On the other hand, God never will. Relying on Him in all circumstances gives us a peace that we won’t understand but will truly welcome.

In life there are bound to be situations we can’t handle or fully comprehend. We may turn to friends and family but their flaws and imperfections can keep them from being reliable sources of help. When the world turns away from us, God does the opposite. Ps 55:22 (TLB) “Give your burdens to the Lord. He will carry them. He will not permit the godly to slip or fall.” We can trust that He’ll never disappear in our darkest times.

Trusting God empowers us to do things we never imagined we could accomplish. Focusing on Him instead of the problems around us opens the door to the supernatural. God is waiting for us to trust Him. All we need do is believe with no doubts nagging at the edge of our minds.

Prayer

I thank You Father, that you are trustworthy and I can depend on You in every area of my life. I trust that You can handle any and every problem I’m faced with. I refuse to worry; I will trust in You. In Jesus name. Amen.
