WHAT CONTROLS YOUR TONGUE?

If there’s any prayer you must say as a child of God, it is to ask for the grace to bridle your tongue and divine ability to speak the right words as we set for the year 2020. It’s not enough to speak but to say words that edify and build others up. If your tongue is loose and uncontrolled, you will endanger your life and also rubbish the grace of God that you carry.  You can’t be separated from your words. The Word of God is God Himself. Likewise, you are shaped by what you say. You can’t pretend to make mistake all the time, when you steadfastly speak wrong words, it’s just a real manifestation of your inner mind. That’s why the Bible says: “Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.” Colossians 4:6.

If you have fallen guilty of wrong use of tongue in this 2019, you need to exercise great caution in 2020. Words are like eggs, once broken, it’s impossible to pack or scoop. The right words can earn your freedom while the wrong words can get you imprisoned. If you are not careful with what you say, you can destroy an entire destiny with the negative utterances. It’s therefore important that you look through your life and confirm if your words to God are correct and if your speech among men are words of encouragement, edification and comfort.

“For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.” James 3:2.

You can’t control your world if you can’t control your words. Sew a seed of corruption by your word, you will surely reap a harvest of disaster. Ask for the Holy Spirit to help you tame your tongue from speaking guiles.
