DO YOU LOVE GOD?

“So it was, when I heard these words that I sat down and wept, and mourned for many days, I was fasting and praying before the God of heaven”
Nehemiah 1: 4
Main Text:

The true test of love is in giving. People can actually give without loving but you can’t love without giving. I went on a frantic search for what to do to let my heart-beat be for God, I did not stop until I discovered love is the big deal. Until you get to a level when nothing is too big for you to give to God’s mission, your heart-beat is not for Him. I believe strongly in what David said that he would not offer unto God that which cost him nothing. Therefore, your giving to God is a sacrifice that must touch you deeply.

After creation, man fell in the Garden of Eden and the plan of redemption was to begin with the seed of Abraham. After God had called Abraham, out of his idolatrous background from his native land (Gen. 12), God began to teach him how to live in faith and one of the tests God gave him in faith lessons was to prove that his heart-beat was for Him. He told him to sacrifice his only son. At the point when God saw that Abraham was not withholding his son, God had to do what He had not done before – “He swore by Himself”. The secret to this God’s act was the act of giving, devotion and obedience shown by Abraham.

What is that thing you hold so dear that you cannot give to support God’s kingdom? This may be the reason you have not experienced a new dimension of His greatness and supernatural lifting so far in this 2019!

Today, the word has come unto you, urging you to be simply devoted to Him alone. You cannot afford to keep playing games with His heart. He loves you and you must return His love to Him.

Prayer:  Father, take me deeper in You and root me in Your love that I may learn to give.
