BE TEACHABLE 2

The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: and a good man shall be satisfied from himself.
Proverbs 14:14 KJV
Main Text:

Jesus desires that we should be like little children so as to remain teachable then we can mature and understand God’s mind in our Christian faith. Children are eager to learn. They’re not defensive. They don’t say, ‘You can’t teach me anything.” They know that they don’t know it all, and they’re eager to ask questions just to learn.

That’s how Jesus wants you to be. Teachable people understand that it’s impossible for anyone to know everything about every subject. You don’t have time in life to learn everything from personal experience. It’s wiser to learn with the help of the Ho.ly Spirit from the godly experience of others in faith.

Don’t reject correction beloved. You must obey the Lord and take the instructions of the wise seriously to be what God wants you to be in your journey to eternity. The Bible says in Proverbs 15:12, “Conceited people do not like to be corrected; they never ask for advice from those who are wiser” (GNT). Pride, at its root, is insecurity. Because of pride, people act like they know it all. Are you in that bracket?

Those that were destroyed in the wilderness suffered untimely death all because they discarded the counsel of the Lord. The counsel of the Lord says: But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. Hebrews 12:8. Now is the time of grace, you can’t have the wilderness experience any longer because Jesus is the nature you carry, Holy Spirit is resident in your spirit man. Do you have listening ears or you claim that you own your life? Listen to your parents in the Lord and consider the corrections that are set to put you on the right track in destiny. You won’t end your journey as a bastard in Jesus mighty name.

Prayer: I am delivered from every scheme of the devil that is targeted at destroying my faith and concentration on my spiritual life.
