TRY AND AVOID CONFLICTS

For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.
Ephesians 5:23
Main Text:

Now, there are times when the Lord gives you a leading, a revelation, knowledge, an idea, an opening of the eyes to see something which your husband, church/unit leaders, etc. are not seeing but which, if pursued, would move your family, church, department, etc. closer to fulfilling His will and accomplishing set goals. What do you do at such times? Do you just run ahead and carry out your vision or do you share it with and seek permission from your husband or church leaders? Even if you think that your leaders are blind to spiritual things, you still have to approach them in humility and wait for approval before you proceed. After all, Saul was a disobedient king and now under the torment of an evil spirit, yet his servants did not despise him. They did not see him as a man who was down and needed other people to run his life for him but still gave him the honor and respect due to him as their king and master.

Romans 13:1 says, “Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.” However, if God in His wisdom decides to place above you people in whom He obviously has not invested as much as He has invested in you, He still expects you to honor them. He is probably trying to teach you humility, submission, and patience without which you cannot succeed in ministry.

Note, however, that it is not everytime the Lord asks you to do a thing that you will need to consult your church leaders. For instance, you do not need a pastor’s permission to help someone in need, go on personal evangelism, or spend days/weeks fasting/praying, etc. But when it comes to something that will involve your church or department you cannot jump into it without the permission of those whom God has placed over you.

Prayer: Every mark of conflicts be destroyed in Jesus name
