CONFIRM YOUR STEP WITH HIS WORD
There are many devices in a man’s heart nevertheless the counsel of the LORD that shall stand.
Proverbs 19: 21
Main Text:
One of the greatest desires of everyone in life is to succeed, but observation reveals that not everyone who sets out on a journey actually ends it well. There are many businesses that are nothing to write home about today because their beginning was questionable.
A lot of people today are just struggling to get ahead in life and majority of them still believe it will get better somehow. Some of them still think that the stress and struggle is part of the Christian cross which must be daily carried, whereas struggle was never part of God’s plan for mankind since the time of grace. Struggle entered into the human race as a result of disobedience in the Garden of Eden. Therefore, any child of God that walks in accordance with His will is not expected to struggle because, that is one of the reasons Jesus came for you and I. See, God’s way of life is void of struggle but we encounter struggle the moment we embark on doing something that is outside God’s plan and purpose for our life.
Remember Jonah? God’s assignment for him was in Nineveh but he settled for Tarshish where he encountered pain and finally ended up in the fish’s belly before he came to his senses. 2018 is still very young so you must not do things outside the will of God.
Beloved, life is too short for one to keep jumping here and there without having focus and direction. The above scripture reveals that though you might have many plans in your heart but wisdom demands that you double check with the Word of God before taking any step so that you can avoid stress and struggle which is not God’s plan for you in 2018. Remember, God will always lead the righteous in the path of peace and serenity as long as the prevailing Word of God is allowed to guide us.
Prayer: Lord, help me to know Your plan and purpose for my life.
