LET GOD HAVE HIS WAY

“There are many devices in a man’s heart; nevertheless, the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand.”
Proverbs 19:21.
Main Text:

There’s the will of man, the counsel of the Lord and the plans of the devil but above all, the counsel of the Lord matters most and holds the best for those who truly care to wait on Him. The will of man and his personal plans are coloured with struggles for survival. Man is limited and can only achieve little here on earth if left alone. Man’s life is short and the little time spent here on earth has a lot to say about what his eternity will look like. The devil on the other hand has nothing much to offer man than deceit and destruction. “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.John 10:10.

But the Lord is good, He knows our frame, He created us and engraved us on the palm of His hands. His project for man is eternal and the more we yield ourselves to Him the better. Also, there awaits us, a hope of eternal peace and rest in His bosom. He’s always thinking about us and planning to get us all His best. “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

 Jeremiah 29:11
God has the best you would ever need. Every area of your life matters to Him. You can’t consult Him for one and choose your way in the other. If He’s providing your daily bread, you need to also allow Him to guide your steps. You can’t see better than the creator of your eyes. Isaiah 55:8-9.

Surely the counsel of the Lord is better and higher. Why not consider the Lord before taking that step? Have you consulted Him or you’re following your natural instincts? May you not run in vain or be led into error in Jesus mighty name.

Prayer: O Lord, have your way in me. I will not resist you
