NOT A DOUBLE MINDED

“A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.”
James 1:8(KJV)
Main Text: Main text: Philippians 4:1-7

When Peter cried out to Jesus, He answered him with one word, “come”. That command carried the authority necessary to defy all natural power. Faith supported Peter on the water. He stepped out of the boat into a supernatural experience. When he saw the wind, he became afraid and failed. (Matthew 14:21-31). Notice this, Peter saw, he feared and he sank! These are the three elements that are always involved in defeat. See + Fear + Doubt = Defeated Faith. Peter had an opportunity to walk in the supernatural, in spite of what was happening in the natural. Faith and fear are opposite, and cannot function at the same time. Doubt brings about defeat!

In praying effectively, a vital part of your success is knowing how to refuse doubt, fear and unbelief. If you are focused more on your circumstances than the Word, then you’re building an inner image of the problem not the solution. What you see on the inside will determine your attitude. If all you envision is your challenge, you will doubt the Word of God then Satan will be able to mess with your mind.

Do not allow doubt or fear, maintain control of your mind. Joshua 1:8. Be ready to refuse any thought or imagination contrary to your prayer. Be selective about the thought you entertain. Do not build an inner image of defeat. Satan uses doubt and fear to make us accept defeat, however, we can overcome him by faith in God’s Word. Never be a double-minded person!

Confession:  I declare, I am a child of God. I am an heir of the blessing, I am one with God, I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, I am the glory of God, I am blessed!
