OUR GOD LISTENS
“Then hear thou in heaven their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause.”
1Kings 8:45
Main Text: Proverbs 15:29
You have been invited to speak to the God of the universe, the Almighty; not just the mightiest, but the almighty. All power is His and under His Control He is the one who made you and keeps you in existence.
God will always answer our heartfelt prayers, they provide an opportunity to commune with Him and receive divine guidance and direction. Most people don’t understand the purpose or essence of prayer. They see it as a torrent of words poured out or a ritual of begging God to do what He’s already done. We must learn to pray the Word of God from our hearts and not simply repeat intellectual phrases we memorized as children in the Sunday school. God’s Word has the divine power to do what it says, unlike man’s words. Anyone can say anything, but when it’s the Word of God, it has the power to affect our human spirits. There’s a miracle power about it that works.
God already knows our thought before we think them, our prayers in agreement with Him lead to success. Prayer isn’t always about asking for things. When we begin thinking about the good things that happened in our lives, for which Jesus is responsible, praise and thanksgiving comes automatically! God is not deaf!
Confession
Thank You Father for hearing me when I call to You, thank you Lord for the privilege to communicate with you, I do not consider it a light thing, I thank you for paying attention to me when I call upon you.
