YOUR WORDS HAVE POWER “
Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.”
Hebrew 11:3
Main Text: Genesis 1: 1-31
God created the whole world by His words, so when God made man, it was with the intent that man should operate in the same way like Himself. Man being in the image and likeness of God, is fundamentally a speaking spirit designed to follow God’s example of creation by the use of words. Man was to use words to accomplish God’s plan of fruitfulness, multiplying, replenishing, subduing and exercising dominion over the Earth (Genesis 1:26, 28). A good example is as recorded in Gen 2:19, which says “And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof”.
Your words are important and God still has respect for the words that you speak whether good or bad. Proverbs 18:21 says, ‘Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof’. Where you are right now in your life; marriage, finances and your health, is a function of the words you have been speaking because there is a manifestation of every word spoken. Mathew 12: 37 says ‘For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.’
Train yourself to speak words of life always irrespective of the circumstances that may you see because you words have power. Words do not die, the only way to undo negative words that one has spoken into any area of one’s life is to counter them by speaking the right words; God’s words.
When satan showed up on the scene with Adam and Eve, he made them doubt God’s word. He said, “Hath God said…?” (Genesis 3:1). The devil has not changed! He is still trying to cause you to doubt God’s word today. Refuse to doubt the word of God! Acts 1: 8, reveals that you have the dynamic ability to effect changes you want to see in your life. You can do this by your words through the power of the Holy Ghost that is in you. If in your life right now, you feel poor, weak, depressed etc, focus on the word of God and effect that change by speaking God’s word into your situation and God will be committed to perform His words in your mouth for He watches over His words to perform. Hallelujah!
Prayer:
“Father, I thank you for Your mandate to be fruitful, multiply, replenish, subdue and exercise dominion in the earth today. I choose to speak words of life and blessing. Now I declare that I am fruitful, I am blessed and I make progress with giant strides by the power of the Holy Ghost.”
