THE VALUE OF A SOUL

“Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.”
Ezek 18:4
Main Text: Main Text: Luke 16:19-31

The story of Lazarus and the rich man is indeed a profound narrative that gives us a glimpse into what happens after death. It reveals that after death comes judgment, and our consciousness remains intact. This story illustrates the reality of two distinct places: one for the righteous and one for the sinner. It also emphasizes the immense value God places on souls. In fact, the worth of a single soul is beyond all human calculation—more precious than the entirety of the world's wealth, achievements, and pleasures. God deeply desires that all souls be saved, underscoring the immeasurable value He places on each individual life.

God desires us to live blameless lives before Him, as illustrated in the story of the Rich Man and Lazarus. The rich man indulged in luxury, but his soul was lost, while Lazarus, though poor and suffering, was carried by angels to eternal peace. This story highlights the reality of life after death—where earthly wealth and status mean nothing. It’s a sobering reminder that we must prioritize our relationship with God and reach out to others with the gospel. The value of a soul far exceeds any worldly possession, and our ultimate goal should be to serve God faithfully and lead others to Him.

Christ calls for more than mere church attendance, good deeds, or community service—He demands the total surrender of your life to Him. Jesus gave us the Great Commission, and it is our responsibility to lead others to Him with urgency because time is short. Surrendering to Christ means dedicating our entire lives to His service and making it our mission to share the gospel with the world.

Confession:

I recognize that every soul is precious to God. He values each person and desires that none should perish but that all should come to repentance. His love for humanity compels me to reach out to the lost and share the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ. Because God values souls, I dedicate myself to the work of evangelism and soul-winning. I am committed to sharing the gospel with those who have not yet heard, bringing them into the light of Christ. My life is a vessel for His message, and I am driven by the mission to depopulate hell and populate heaven.
